India’s minorities, especially those thought-about ‘educationally backward’ by the government, are supplied for in the 1992 amendment of the Indian National Policy on Education . The authorities initiated the Scheme of Area Intensive Programme for Educationally Backward Minorities and Scheme of Financial Assistance or Modernisation of Madarsa Education as a part of its revised Programme of Action . In 2004 the Indian parliament handed an act which enabled minority education institutions to seek university affiliations if they handed the required norms. Corruption in Indian education system has been eroding the standard of education and has been creating long-term negative consequences for the society. Educational corruption in India is taken into account one of many major contributors to domestic black money. In 2021, Manav Bharti University, a private college, was accused of promoting tens of 1000’s of degrees for money over a decade.
