Ten lighting designs by students at the University of East London

Dezeen School Shows: a lamp made out of recycled leather from the sports car industry and light consisting of a cluster of tubes are included in Dezeen’s latest school show by students at the University of East London.

Also featured is a light source embedded inside a miniature brutalist residential block and an undulating mood lamp that is made from industrial tubing and concrete.

Even before its recent redesign, this four-bedroom farmhouse-style home had a lot to offer. It’s in the acceptable setting of Hedgerow, a highly sought after, peaceful neighborhood in Montecito between the ocean and the upper village, and it was built on a secluded plot with a stunning garden, and views of the Montecito mountains beyond.

It’s a truly idyllic place to vacation. But there were some interior design challenges to overcome before it became the perfect retreat, as designer Hayley English (opens in new tab) found out.

FRANKFORT — Republican House Speaker David Osborne says his GOP supermajority in the House plans to pass a bill this week that would continue to cut state income taxes, a big priority for the GOP leadership. telegram long before this year’s legislative session.

Ever since Cass Goulding was a child, she’s been drawn to vintage kitsch, watching old episodes of Bewitched and scouring thrift stores for 1950s rockabilly-style dresses. Her husband, Chris Bowman, prefers clean lines, Scandinavian minimalism and the modernist designs of Louis Kahn, Marcel Breuer and Pierre Koenig. “I’m mid-century, he’s modern, so together we’re mid-mod,” she says.
