KINGSTON — Staff and organizers at the Kingston Youth Shelter are asking the public for help raising the last portion of their $1.5 million fundraising target.
Style mavens! Ree Drummond shared a new decorating hack on Instagram on Tuesday, July 11, after revealing she was renovating her office.
“The dogs will get mud all over this but you only live once,” the Food Network personality captioned a photo of her new space in her Instagram stories.
To add a pop of color to the room, Ree, 54, decided to install geometric floor tiles that perfectly reflect her vibrant personality. The red, blue and yellow hues of the tiles are stunning.
Using primary colors in her projects has definitely become one of Ree’s design signatures since rising to fame on TV in 2011 with The Pioneer Woman. She previously launched a collection of homeware sold at multiple retailers that fuses her love for primary colors and floral patterns.
The chef also shared a glimpse of her
When I started planning our laundry room update, I knew I needed a solution to hiding all of our shoes under the benches. I’m constantly lining it up and trying to arrange it and it always looks like a hot mess. I love the look of a sink skirt and I think it would be really cute to make a shoe skirt! So I got to work on making no-sew blinds to hide all our shoes!
Exhibit A: I’m honestly shocked that it took me 7 years to decide to cover it. We use this room SO MUCH and no matter how hard I try, it’s impossible to keep shoes neat and tidy. I wanted something that was still functional but also beautiful and curtains seemed like a good option. It would hide the mess but would be easy to pull aside and reach for our shoes when we need

Now evolving over time, they wanted to experience contemporary modulations in the same space with minimum budget specifications. The house defines dialogue between existing structural grids and new different punctures infused for communication. The design shows a thoughtful approach to addressing challenges inside a built mass, creating opportunities for visually open spaces by adding colorful graphics. As part of climatic considerations, passive design strategies and planning principles have been incorporated.

Halifax Regional Council is pushing forward with a site and building plan for the possible redevelopment of the Halifax Forum.
On Tuesday night, the council directed the chief administrative officer to provide more details on the potential project, shortly.
“I think we have to bite the bullet on this and get something done,” said Halifax Major Mike Savage.
Two years ago, the cost to tear down and rebuild the Forum facility, which included two rinks and two community halls, was roughly $80 million.
It has now soared to $110 million.
Savage said the city needs to make a decision soon.
“The only thing that scares me more than $110 million today is what it might be in two years if we don’t do something,” said Savage.
Neil Samson has been using the Forum parking lot as a taxi stand for the past 35 years.
When Samson first heard of the

City police have charged a man they say defrauded a couple over home renovation work he was expected to perform for them.
A couple seeking to revamp their northwest Calgary home contacted local firm Envision Custom Renovations in December of last year, say police.
“Between January and April 2023, the victims had several disagreements with the hired contractor, which included the victims being invoiced for sub-contractor materials, several scheduling delays and work not being completed within the agreed upon timeframe,” city police said in a press release.
“In April 2023, the victims discovered the invoices provided by the contractor, that they paid for, were fraudulent and contacted the police.”
It’s alleged the contractor altered and forged the billings by presenting them as subcontractor invoices and collected money through his business.
Police have charged Envision owner Alan Wade Hrehirchuk, 53, with two counts of forgery,

Text description provided by the architects. Nanjing Combat Machinery Factory is located on the west side of Hongshan in the north of the city and is nearby the Nanjing Railway Station. The factory was built in the 1950s. With the expansion of the city and industrial development, the production department moved out, which leads to the idle of the original factory. Around 2006, people tried to renew the factory, hoping to reopen it as the creative industrial center. However, for some reason, the building failed to attract people’s attention even though it was renewed.
After the reconstruction, new walls were built, bricks were paved, and the whole building was painted, which hides industrial memory. In the
