By Kumar Kunal: Special Secretary (Vigilance) YVVJ Rajasekhar, who was probing alleged corruption in the renovation of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence, was divested of his duties by the Delhi government.
Following the direction of the Delhi government, Rajasekhar claimed that his room was open at three in the morning on Tuesday.
He said that all sensitive documents, including the renovation of Chief Minister Kejriwal’s residence, were missing. He has also sent a letter to the chief secretary of Delhi in this regard.
Rajasekhar has expressed apprehension that there might be a breach of confidentiality and tampering with the evidence. He also said that spy equipment may have been installed in his room.
According to the report, the files that went missing from his room were related to the liquor scam case and alleged corruption in the renovation of the Chief Minister’s house.

Meanwhile, the Delhi government has called Rajasekhar a “thoroughly corrupt officer” and Wankhede of the Delhi vigilance department.
“How was he posted in vigilance in the first place by LG (lieutenant governor) needs to be probed. He was one of the prime accused in the CNG kit scam, and the CBI had recommended disciplinary action against him. Several complaints have been received against him from several people and several officers that he demanded protection money,” said the Delhi government.
“The work was officially withdrawn from him through an order on May 13. If the work has been officially withdrawn from him on Saturday, how is he still in possession of all files? When his work is assigned to other officers, the office procedure demands that he should have officially handed over all files to the new officers,” the government further said.
“What is his interest in keeping some files despite him being removed from that work? Regarding his allegation that someone tried to break in his office at night, the government will get it thoroughly scrutinized whether it is true or not. If true, strict action will be taken,” read the statement by the Delhi government.
