We’re still waiting on some final finishing details in our kitchen (so if you come across something that looks unfinished, don’t worry!). I’ve been trying to get some paint colors done for the painters so I’ve been working on that, but in the meantime, I can’t wait to break out some of the stuff I’ve been saving for our kitchen! I’ll be sharing some of them today!
The good news is that we’ll probably be able to “move in” to the kitchen this week, although there are still some details to be finalized as well as ongoing projects around the house (like our deck, living room/mudroom). /entrance/painted stairs, new wooden stair treads and upstairs, plus Tiny Cottage!).

I suspect we are a few weeks away from the contractor being officially “finished” and sure enough, the more fun part is about to begin for me! I can’t wait to decorate and put plants in our garden :). I’ve collected some vintage dishes I can’t wait to display in the kitchen and even bought some plants for the backyard.
Today I’m going to share some of the items I brought in last week and I’m going to share some antiques after I got them in the kitchen.
1. Hobnail Drinking Glasses
We need new drinking glasses and I can’t resist these beauties! I’ve always loved hobnail designs and the colors are perfect. They look like sea glass! I decided to get a blue and sage color combination.
2. Roll Up Dish Drying Rack In Sink
This is a very clever drying rack, it works with our farmhouse sink and will come in handy when we want to do some hand washing or just need to organize something, maybe towels or plants or whatever needs drying! It rolls up and can be stored away when not in use.
3. Wooden Dish Brush
I always like to have wooden brushes in the kitchen, I couldn’t decide which one to buy so I got natural and dark brown colors.
4. Marble Tray
We always use a small tray like this so I knew we’d love this one. This is marble, another one that I will share below is resin.

6. Wicker Rattan Tray
We purchased this wicker rattan tray to be able to carry food or dishes upstairs during the remodel. They are amazing, very sturdy and just the right size. We will use this all the time for serving, so it will be a great addition to our kitchen.
7. Plate Support Easel Display Stand
I’m looking for an easel style booth to be able to display plates, plates or books. At first I thought the finish would be too light, but once the plates were on they were absolutely gorgeous! I bought many more in several sizes.
8. Sailboat Opening Plate
My husband bought me this beloved sailboat appetizer plate locally (but we found it online here too!). I would use them at the table but they would also be adorable for decoration. We can’t wait to mix and match all of our beautiful dishes to display (and use!) in this kitchen. Look forward to more posts about it!
9. Bamboo Drawer Organizer
I found bamboo drawer organizers which come in a variety of sizes so you can mix and match according to your needs. I can’t wait to organize our drawers! I got a set of 5 of these in different shapes, and a set of 2 stackable long dividers (see photo below).
10. Tray Organizer
This will come in handy for setting up a baking sheet or pan in the cupboard!
11. Patterned Animal Bowl
I love the little bowls I have shared in my recent “pretty kitchen accessories” post! We use a small bowl for all kinds of things, so I knew it would go a long way. They come in a set of 4 with a rabbit, a frog, a bee and a squirrel (2 red and 2 blue bowls).
