Text description provided by the Interior Designers. The interior design of Jan Juc Acre responds to the local environment and community, to the original 1980s house, and to the personalities within the family that lives here. Each of these contexts informed interior design decisions. Driven by our client, the retention of the majority of the original building was a priority for both the interior and building design.

a brutalist dream home listed in heverlee, belgium

Standing amidst the scenic, meadowed farmlands of Heverlee, a town in Leuven, belgiumstands a 1979-built home which exemplifies the brutalist style. Crafted by architecture firm Archiduk, led by Guido Konings and Jan Delrue, this five-bedroom residence beautifully hybridizes the sensibilities of the architectural style with the project’s rural context. With its structure of raw exposed concreteexpansive glazing, and warm timber interior detailing, the house has been well-preserved over the past forty years to showcase an architectural tapestry — now that the Belgian home is being listed for sale by ArchitectenWoning, new images offer a latest glimpse inside the brutalist spaces.

Latest Kitchen Sink Trends

With the latest kitchen sink trend, the old is new again. For 2023, some classic but new trend sinks are appreciated to minimize your environmental footprint. Stainless steel sinks are versatile, durable and easy to clean. And a classic porcelain sink will last forever! But more environmentally friendly options—such as fireclay and copper sinks—are emerging. They’re sturdy, tamper-resistant, and can help your sink get its rightful place as the centerpiece of your kitchen.

When updating any interior design, it’s a good idea to check what others are doing. Here are some popular kitchen sink models that might fit perfectly in your home:

· Farmhouse sink – Up again. Also known as an apron sink, this sink has a large, deep basin. It has open sides and requires a certain aesthetic to fit.

· Lower sink – With a seamless finish, this sink is all about the

House Design

A panel of experts selected four one-storey and four two-storey housing designs from the competition as winners, and the plans for those housing developments have now been made available for purchase at $1,000 each.

The floor plans for all the projects are 90m2 or less, and are all two-bedrooms and one- to two baths, but range in styles from single family homes to row-houses to a cube house.

Even though the designs came from people across Canada, a majority of the winners were locals.

Vernon’s Alyssa Quiring and Dora Anderson won with their submissions for the ‘Familiar Faces’ and ‘The Sprout’ designs.

Kelowna’s Levi Weaver won twice with his ‘The Louise’ and ‘The Francis’ designs.

The ‘Single Storey’ design by Dennis Lowe of Salmon Arm was another winner from this competition.

Five other one-floor housing styles and two more two-floor housing styles had also been approved through the contest,
